It’s finally here, dear friends and followers: launch day!
Let’s take a trip to Prince Edward County together. We can explore the sunshine and the greenery and the Lake Ontario views. We can pause to feel the sunshine on our faces as we look to the clouds and big, blue sky.
The 14 paintings in the “Hello, Sunshine” collection invite you to spend a little time in Prince Edward County, one of my favourite little corners of the world. Whether you’ve been many times before and have lovely memories of this unique place or you’ve always dreamed of visiting, these paintings give you access to the best parts of the county at the height of summer.
These paintings are all about celebrating the sunshine and the joy of summertime. These paintings are a reminder of the peace that can be found in nature and the warmth of a summer’s day.
For me, this collection also represents the return of joy to my life. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt truly happy and painting has given that to me. If nothing happens beyond putting these paintings into the world, I will be content because I’ll know they exist and I’ll forever be proud of the journey that brought them into being.
I hope these paintings reach you in your soul—they come from the depths of mine. I hope they remind you that there is good in the world, even when things seem really hard. Especially when things seem really hard. The key, I think, is putting good out there. It finds its way back to you, eventually, in ways you might not have expected.
My homage to summer in Prince Edward County is also a tribute to resilience and the power of choosing joy.
