A cool September sunrise in the haze from western wildfire smoke blown thousands of kilometres east. This view of Amherst Island at dawn is dear to my heart. The colours are soft and muted and call to mind the coming harvest.
The little green dot is a reflection in the camera lens from the reference photo. To me, it’s a representation of a visit from someone who has passed away.
This piece pairs well with “Wild Light” as the reference photos were taken at the same time and they feature the same barn from different angles.
