It is better to have loved. Love anyway. Love despite knowing it will end, somehow. Love joyfully.
This piece is based on a stormy October sunrise on Amherst Island’s Wemp’s Bay and incorporates torn pieces from a journal entry exploring whether it was worth it, to love someone who died so suddenly, and whether I would do it all again, knowing how it would end. The answer, of course, is yes.
