Anyone who has read Louise Penny’s marvellous novels has dreamed of visiting Three Pines.
The town may be fictitious but the place is as real to me as any I’ve physically visited.
When I spotted this cluster of three pine trees on an evening walk on Amherst Island, I just knew I had to paint them.
This is my softest and most subtle painting yet and it makes me happy to just be around it.
At 24" by 36" this is a statement piece, meant to be displayed prominently in a space where friends and family gather to sit in comfort together.
